Step by Step

How to get the most out of every burn

01

First Burn is Everything

Let your candle burn until the wax melts all the way to the edge on that first use — don't rush it. This keeps it from tunneling and sets y'all up for a great burn every time after. Give it at least 3–4 hours, and a little longer for our larger sizes.

02

Trim Your Wick Every Time

Before you light it, trim that wick down to ¼ inch. It keeps the flame steady, cuts down on soot, and makes your candle last longer. A wick trimmer works better than scissors — especially on 3-wick candles.

03

Don't Burn It All Day

Four hours max per burn — we mean it. Go longer than that and the vessel gets too hot, the wick starts to mushroom, and the fragrance just isn't as good. Let it cool down a couple hours before you relight.

04

Keep the Wax Pool Clean

Fish out any wick trimmings or matches before you light up. Little bits of debris in the wax can cause flare-ups and uneven burns — and nobody wants that.

05

Use a Snuffer, Not Your Breath

Blowing out a candle sends smoke everywhere and can knock the wick off-center. A snuffer puts the flame out clean and keeps everything right where it should be for the next burn.

06

Store It Somewhere Cool

Keep your candles out of direct sunlight and away from drafts — heat and UV fade the fragrance and discolor the wax. Lid on when it's not in use. That's all there is to it.

07

Stop at ½ Inch

When you've got about ½ inch of wax left, it's time to retire it. Burning past that can crack the vessel. But don't toss it — the jar makes a real pretty planter, pen cup, or trinket dish.

08

Never Leave It Unattended

Stay in the room while your candle's burning. Keep it away from vents and ceiling fans, and never set it near anything flammable. Just good common sense, y'all.

Burn Responsibly

Safety first, always.

Never Leave Unattended

Stay in the room while your candle is lit. Extinguish before leaving or going to sleep.

Keep Away from Flammables

Place your candle away from curtains, paper, fabric, and anything that can catch a flame.

Stable Surface Only

Always burn on a flat, heat-resistant surface. Never on carpet, books, or unstable ledges.

Keep Away from Children & Pets

Our wax is formulated without known pet toxins — but any open flame is a hazard. Keep out of reach.

4-Hour Burn Limit

Burn no more than 4 hours at a time. Let the vessel fully cool before relighting.

Stop at ½ Inch of Wax

Discontinue use when ½" of wax remains. Burning lower risks cracking the vessel from heat.
