Return & Refund Policy

Returns
We accept returns within 7 days of delivery for items that are unused, unlit, and in their original packaging. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition you received it and accompanied by proof of purchase.
To start a return, contact us at stephanie@mckellarsmithhomecandles.com. If your return is approved, we will provide instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
- Used or lit candles
- Custom or personalized items
- Gift cards
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 3–5 business days. Please note that your bank or credit card company may require additional time to post the refund.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need an exchange for the same item, contact us at stephanie@mckellarsmithhomecandles.com with a photo of the damage and your order number.
Damaged Items
Please inspect your order upon receipt. If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 3 days of delivery so we can evaluate and resolve the issue promptly.
Shipping Your Return
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item was damaged or sent in error. We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as we cannot guarantee receipt of returned items.
Coverage Duration
Our quality guarantee covers defects in materials and craftsmanship for 1 year from the date of purchase.
Claims Process
To submit a quality claim, email us at stephanie@mckellarsmithhomecandles.com with:
- A photo or video of the issue
- A photo of the wick and label code on the bottom of the candle
- Your order number
Missing or Damaged Orders
If your order arrives damaged or items are missing, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the packaging and contents. If your package is marked as delivered but has not arrived, please wait 3 business days and then contact us — we will work with the carrier to locate your order.
Lost or Stolen Packages
If your tracking shows delivered but you have not received your package, please wait 3 business days before contacting us. Sometimes carriers mark packages as delivered before they actually arrive. After 3 business days, reach out and we will help resolve the situation.
